My Story…

Depression can/does affect EVERYONE. My mom suffered for years with depression. My dad deals with it daily since my mom passed away 9 years ago. I thought it would never happen to me.....Well it did!! The happiest time of my life, having the cutest baby on the planet and BAM!! Post partum depression kicked in and now my "baby" is almost 19 and the depression decided to hang around. We all have family and friends that struggle daily but never show it to be "strong" for everyone. I am one of "those" people. I struggle every day with depression. Whether I show it or share that I am having a grey day....It's there lingering every damn day. Some days I'm shocked that I'm still here. Apparently I having a stronger will to live then to leave. I'm turning 50 two days after this walk. I want to bring in my 50th with a BANG! Starting my 50th year off with a healthier lifestyle.
