My Story…
When I was researching information about the Run to Feed the Hungry event, I was surprised to learn that about 1,165,400 children in California face hunger, meaning they live in households experiencing food insecurity. When I thought about what that might be like, it was hard to imagine that situation. I realized that some of the things people might take for granted are not available for all. I am committed to running in the upcoming Thanksgiving event: Run to Feed the Hungry, because no child should be afraid that their family does not have enough food. All money donated will go to Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services so they can continue to help the community.
I hope people will support my participation and donate money to help more families have healthy food.
