My Story…
Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services serves over 300,000 of our Sacramento neighbors every month. They ensure that kids don’t go hungry and help struggling families get back on their feet. This support is more critical than ever as hundreds of thousands of Sacramento county residents are not receiving supplemental nutrition assistance (SNAP, or food stamps) in November due to the government shut down. The withholding of SNAP funds means more kids, seniors, and disabled members of our community are experiencing food stress and insecurity.
