Our story…
Many of us know someone who has faced or is currently facing cancer—whether it's ourselves, a friend, a family member, or an acquaintance. The journey of dealing with cancer can be overwhelming and difficult. As medical students, we recognize not only the emotional and mental challenges involved but also the physiological effects of this journey. The Champions of Hope race is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and raise funds to expand cancer services, programs, and patient support.
Description
Help us continue to raise funds to support those battling cancer in the Wiregrass. Since 2008, the Champions of Hope event brought cutting edge cancer treatments and programs into our community. Your efforts really do make an impact in the lives of those fighting cancer, and 100% of the donations stay right here at HOME.
Thanks to the generous support of our community, the Southeast Health Foundation has been able to fund:
- Cancer Navigation Services
- 3D Mammography
- PET/CT Scanner
- Chemotherapy suites
- Transportation services
- Customized information reference binders for newly diagnosed patients
- Post-mastectomy comfort kits
