This August take up the challenge to walk, run, ride, ski – however you want to move – to raise funds to support the Canterbury Westpac Rescue Helicopters and the ROA Mining Rescue Helicopter.
For the whole month of August you can take on a distance challenge, get fit, improve your mental wellbeing and raise money to support the training and equipment needed on every rescue helicopter in our region. You have all month to complete the distance you choose, it doesn't matter if you don't need the whole month.
Choose your challenge from our choice of distances or pick your own and we can move forward together.
Challenge yourself to help the Rescue Helicopters - choose the distance you will move:
9km - The distance from the Christchurch Hospital helipad and Back to Base
49km - The distance from Akaroa to Christchurch Hospital and Back to Base
97km - The distance from Mt Hutt to Christchurch Hospital and Back to Base
155km - The distance from Timaru Hospital to Christchurch Hospital and Back to Base. This is also the distance from Greymouth base to Christchurch base.
Anyone who raises over $100 will be sent the Supporters Medal. Anyone can purchase the Back to Base medal.
Back to Base Medal | Supporters Medal - Sent to those who fundraise over $100 |
