My Story…
We’re celebrating a huge milestone this year: 10 years of fighting, winning, and never giving up! My Mom Sabrina and uncle Darrin have both been battling blood cancer for a decade now, and to honor their incredible strength and resilience, I am running my 10th and longest race to celebrate and honour their 10-year journey!
I ran my first half-marathon alongside my Mom (pictured), and she dragged myself and my weak knees over the finish line. I can truly say I inherited my love of running from her. Over the years, we have crossed many finish lines together and continue to run together. I've always said "I'll never run a full marathon", but it turns out that I have some pretty convincing and encouraging friends and family! I’m officially running the BMO Vancouver Marathon - 42.2 km (and I’ll be hoping for sun)!
Every dollar fundraised will directly support the BC Cancer Foundation. A foundation that our family is forever grateful for. I'm going to make this race count - and I am going to cross that finish line (even if I'm crawling)! If you are able to contribute or show support through sharing I would be extremely grateful.
