Our story…
Hello family and friends!
As many of you know, my mother, Lori Wopnford, passed away in the summer of 2018 following her battle with multiple myeloma. In the month before her passing, our family participated in the “Multiple Miles for Myeloma” charity run, organized by the Myeloma Alberta Support Society. Inspired by that experience, my girlfriend, Kandace Peroramas, and I are once again taking part in a marathon. We will be running the BMO Vancouver Marathon on May 4th. This marks our third consecutive year running to raise awareness and funds for cancer and multiple myeloma.
This year, we are fundraising for the BC Cancer Foundation. Any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated and will go directly towards supporting the fight against this disease.

Some info on Multiple Myeloma:
Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer that affects white blood cells found in the bone marrow. With multiple myeloma, cancerous blood cells multiply and accumulate, creating tumors and crowding out healthy blood cells.
More than 1 million people are currently living with multiple myeloma.
BC Cancer's commitment to Multiple Myeloma research:
1. Immunotherapy clinical trials to eradicate the cancer and achieve lasting remission
2. Drug testing that will shut down the production of tumour cells
3. Mobilizing myeloma cells that hide in the bone marrow, so they can be targeted with chemotherapy
