My Story…
Last year my motivation was getting to my 30th birthday! I am now moving into my golden birthday year and we are gonna do it again!
My run for a reason is ARYSE with the hopes in creating more awareness for the youth immigrants and refugees. Any one who knows me knows that our own immigration journey was a tough one but we were lucky to make it out in the other side. My husband Sam became an American citizen in January 2023 with our two babies watching! It was definitely one of the best days we have had as a family. And we recognize that even in spite of our troubles we had it easier than a lot of other immigrants going through the system.
Donating to my run for a reason would help bring resources for afterschool programs and more for school aged children in the immigrant and refugee community in the Pittsburgh area! Nothing would make me happier!
Never forget we are all immigrants! And immigrants… we get the job done 🙌🏼

Description
This year, our goal is to raise at least $35,000 through the marathon campaign, which will cover the essential expenses for our program like student transportation, interpretation and translation services, hot meals, and personnel. Thanks to donations from hundreds of individuals and local foundations, the program is completely free of cost to participants. Support from our marathon runners and their networks will help us keep it that way.
