My Story…
Open Hand Ministries has been fighting for financial wellness and diversity in the Pittsburgh community for over 15 years. With two branches in our unique model, a community-based financial wellness program and a property construction/rehabilitation program, we fill a critical need to make dreams of affordable home-OWNERSHIP (not just affordable housing) a reality for historically-marginalized brothers and sisters in the Steel City. 2024 brought big changes to OHM as we transitioned just from being a contractor/renovator to an actual property DEVELOPER--this means that in 2025 alone we'll have at least FOUR houses on the market to be sold to members of our community at full equity value through grants, subsidies, and labors of love. I'm honored and proud to serve as President of the Board of Directors for OHM, and thrilled to be running the marathon on their behalf once again.
