Help Cara raise money

In 2023 I completed my 4th half marathon just 1 years after having my reconstruction surgery from breast cancer. It took me 6 months of lifting weights, starting with 2lbs, to get my body prepared for that run. Truth be told, I was stronger but not where I needed or wanted to be. But the goal of that run was just to finish. And at 3:17:25, I did finish!! And I was extremely proud of myself! With each step I kept in mind how I was unable to do this a year ago. How my body was under construction for 12 months as I underwent my breast cancer journey.  Mentally and physically my breast cancer journey took a lot from me. But each step I was reminded of the dedication to myself, the honor I was giving myself, and the love I was giving myself. Fast forward 2 years, I am taking on my 5th half marathon on what will be my 4th anniversary being diagnosed, May 4th. I am running for an organization, @412thrive, whom saved my soul on so many occasions and showed me what true women hood is about.
This year is different. I am stronger, leaner and I have so much in my control and power. I’ve change my life style 8 months ago to get my body ready for 4 months of training. Here we are, less than 30 days away and I am filled with excitement as I am accomplishing yet again something I wasn’t sure I’d be able to do again!
Celebrate with me, support with me, heal with me! My run is dedicated to myself, my family, my friends and all those I’ve had the privilege to build relationships with from breast cancer.
