My Story…
In 2019, I went through some testing that led to my doctors finding a cancerous tumor on the right half of my thyroid. Fortunately, the tumor was detected early and removed before the cancer could spread.
The whole process was tough to go through and left me in a bad spot in all aspects of life. I lost all sense of purpose and became severely out of shape. I was able to find my health again through running and hope sharing my story can help those going through similar struggles.
I’ll be running the 2025 PGH 13.1 for Young Adult Survivors United (YASU) to help other young adult cancer survivors overcome their struggles. YASU is a health and wellness community that provides social, emotional, and financial support to young adult cancer survivors worldwide.
Description
Young Adult Survivors United provides a wealth of emotional, social, and financial support to anyone diagnosed with cancer when aged 18-45 including support for their caregivers.
