My Story…
Every day, 43 kids are diagnosed with cancer. For these children and their families, the journey through treatment is filled with challenges—physically, emotionally, and financially. One of the often-overlooked struggles is the difficulty of changing clothes around medical devices like ports, feeding tubes, and IV lines.
That’s where Zip With Us comes in. This incredible organization provides medically accessible clothing designed specifically for kids undergoing treatment. With thoughtfully placed zippers and openings, these garments help children feel more comfortable, independent, and dignified during a time when so much is out of their control.
This May, I’m lacing up my running shoes and taking on the Pittsburgh Half Marathon to raise funds and awareness for Zip With Us. Every dollar donated will help provide adaptive clothing to kids who need it most.
