My Story…
Hi everyone! This year, I’m running the Pittsburgh Marathon for the second time to help raise funds for the Mario Lemieux foundation! As a life long Pittsburgh Penguins hockey fan and incoming medical student hoping to work in a pediatric specialty, I am honored to give back to a foundation so close to my heart. In high school, I spent many hours with patients at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Austin’s playroom as a volunteer. I saw first hand how impactful a space for patients to just be kids could be for both the patient and the families healing journeys. Join me in raising money for Austin’s playrooms, cancer research, and patient care initiatives supported by the Mario Lemieux Foundation!

Since their founding in 1993, the Mario Lemieux Foundation has been focused on finding a cure for cancer by funding research and patient care, and supporting families in challenging medical situations. Through ongoing projects at the Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers, the Mario Lemieux Lymphoma Center, the Mario Lemieux Immunotherapy Center, and the recently established Mario Lemieux Center for Heart Rhythm Care, we support research that translates to clinical trails and innovative therapies that save lives.
