My Story…
Please consider donating to support three of our Family Medicine Residents and two of our Medical Students here at Meadville Medical Center.
As healthcare professionals, we strive to not only provide groundbreaking, evidence-based medical care to our patients, but also implement the same counseling points into our own lives to promote longitudinal health. We, as the representative resident physicians and medical students of Meadville Medical Center (MMC), plan to participate in the Pittsburgh Marathon Relay on May 4th, 2025, as a charitable opportunity to not only better ourselves but provide financial support to a local charity. Help us achieve our goal of $1000 for Parkinson's Foundation of Western PA.
A little bit about the charity, Parkinson's Foundation of Western PA:Parkinson's disease affects the central nervous system, causing muscle weakness/rigidity, tremors, ambulatory difficulties, and memory/cognitive impairment. It can affect patients in a wide range of ways or times in their lives. This is something that MMC's residents and medical students see on an almost weekly basis. We see the toll this disease takes on our patients and the changes needed in their lives due to symptoms. Since 1995, Parkinson Foundation Western Pennsylvania has served to enrich and engage, educate and empower individuals and their families during this challenging, overwhelming, and often isolating period.
