Why We Fundraise:
At Calgary Quest Children’s Society, every dollar raised by Team Quest will directly support families raising children with developmental disabilities. This year, we aim to raise $45,000 for our Family Supports Program, which provides essential tools, resources, and community connections to empower parents and caregivers.
Parenting a child with a disability can be overwhelming, but the right support makes a world of difference. Research highlights how professional and community support improves coping skills, reduces stress, and enhances families' overall well-being. With your help, we can make this support accessible to families who need it most.
Here’s how your donations will help:
Therapeutic Resources
- One-on-one consultations with our therapeutic team to guide parents on emotional regulation, behavior management, and communication strategies.
- Wellness and coping supports to reduce caregiver stress.
Educational Resources
- Free workshops for parents on critical topics like crisis intervention, caregiver wellness, digital safety, and speech therapy.
Technology Support
- An iPad loaner program for families who can’t afford this vital tool, enabling children to use adaptive communication software like Touch Chat at home and school. This gives non-verbal youth a voice, promotes learning, and strengthens family bonds.

Calgary Quest Children’s Society is a non-profit organization serving students and young people with moderate to severe developmental diagnoses through Calgary Quest School and Calgary Quest Resources. For over 40 years we have nurtured the potential of thousands of young people with cross-disabilities and unique learning needs, changing their lives and the lives of their families.
Families come to us after months, or often years, of feeling lost, excluded, and under-resourced. We allow these families to be seen, included, and supported. Students at Quest build friendships and develop a sense of belonging – often for the very first time.
With your generous donation, we plan on furthering our impact on the children and people we serve and maximizing our ability to change their lives' for the better through our Therapy Programs.
