Calgary is no ordinary city. Yet, along with our spirit and enviable sense of community, there is a serious lack of affordable housing and services for seniors.

We’re excited to take part in the Calgary Marathon, bringing together a team that will be able to help Calgarians age successfully.

We want to assure Calgary seniors they will have a safe, affordable home with the appropriate services and supports, now and in the future. Understanding that investing in our aging population today benefits us all. When people are properly housed, with quality nutrition, cognitive engagement and a connected community of people around them, they are healthier, happier, safer and more engaged. 

Many seniors face the daunting challenge of securing safe and affordable housing, often compromising on necessities just to make ends meet. The urgency of this matter is underscored by the profound impact it has on the well-being and stability of Calgary's seniors, many of whom are vulnerable to homelessness or precarious living situations.  Silvera for Seniors is part of the solution providing housing to 1800+ seniors with differing levels of income.
