My Story…
I'm running for my favourite strong, seven-year-old, Sloane, and my dear friends, her family Claire, Curt and Indy <3.
Almost two years ago, Sloane was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma—just days before she was supposed to run in the kids’ race at the Calgary Marathon. Since then, her strength, energy, and infectious laugh have inspired everyone who knows her story.
On April 21, we learned the heartbreaking news that Sloane’s cancer has returned. After a year in remission and six months off treatment, she now faces another uphill battle.
I’ll be running the 1/2 marathon for Team Strong Like Sloane, joining her family and friends in raising funds for pediatric cancer research through the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Please consider donating to my page or any of the Strong Like Sloane runners and let's make an impact and fight against childhood cancer. Every dollar brings us one step closer to advancements in treatment, research breakthroughs, and ultimately, a cure. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that children like Sloane can grow up to live long, healthy, happy lives.
Donate to help Meghan raise money for Servus Calgary Marathon 2025’s fundraising campaign.
