My Story…
Running the Calgary Marathon 10km race has now become an annual tradition, and this year I will be fundraising in honor of my late father, Russell. He passed away far too young, and was a light in our life we will miss forever. My Dad suffered from RP and had substantial loss to his vision, yet he lived his life to the fullest always with an ear to ear grin. When faced with challenges, he would crack a disgruntled joke and carry on.
Organizations like the CNIB aim to provide blind people or those with vision loss, like my Dad, the tools, resources, and community they need to achieve their dreams of a brighter future. In donating, I hope that more individuals may live their life as full as my father.
