I learned of NorthernStar after having my son Coen. I felt very fortunate to be able to breast feed and wanted to find a way to give back. NorthernStar was incredible to work with. They made the process extremely easy and I was able to donate the extra milk I had to babies who need it. They do an excellent job making it as easy as possible for milk donors. There is a lot involved in the process to ultimately make the milk available and safe for those who need it.
As a family, we were so impressed by NorthernStar’s achievements that we felt we needed to do more. Seven years ago my husband and I ran the Calgary Marathon and Half Marathon for a different charity. It is how we began our relationship. It seemed only appropriate that we should do it together again but perhaps in a bit of a different capacity.
We would love your support on May 24th. We will be racing the 10km while pushing our 6 month old son Coen. Any donations you can give to this wonderful charity are so appreciated!
