Loan Market Oceanside Tauranga Half 2025

One of the longest running and most popular triathlon events in New Zealand, this event has a rich history in the local Tauranga and triathlon community spanning over 35 years.

This is the pinnacle event at the Fulton Hogan Mount Festival of Multisport! The Loan Market Oceanside Tauranga Half will be your PB course. It's fast, flat, and boasts some of NZ's most iconic scenery.

Important Note: The 2025 Loan Market Oceanside Tauranga Half and AquaBike swim course cut off time is going to be 1 hour and 20 minutes. Reduced from the official Triathlon New Zealand rules of 1 hour 40 minutes.

Tauranga Half - 2km swim, 90km bike, 21km run

As a sanctioned Triathlon NZ event and the sole selection event for the 2025 Age Group World Triathlon Multisport Championships please ensure you are familiar with Triathlon NZ Rules and Policies


AGE GROUP: Standard individual entry for male and female age group athletes.


OPEN CATEGORY: The open category is for top age group athletes or aspiring pros who want to see how they stack up again the elite field. By entering into this category you will not be eligible for prize money or age group awards. As a guideline to be eligible to enter in the open category an athlete would be aiming for the following times for a half iron-distance: Men: Sub 4.20 Women: Sub 4.50. Limited spaces available, approved by event team.


ELITE CATEGORY: Our pro category - to be eligible to enter in the elite category you must be able to provide proof of the following times for a half iron-distance: Men: Sub 4.05 Women: Sub 4.35.
