YOUR HELP IS MUCH NEEDED.
Runners often compliment the enthusiastic and helpful volunteers. Thank you for considering giving of your time and energy by volunteering. Races would not be possible without your help.
And what a great way to be part of a race without actually running. You will be able to cheer on the runners or congratulate them and gain experience at the same time. Various positions are available at various times and different locations. A souvenir volunteer T-shirt along with snacks and beverages will be provided. If volunteer credit hours are needed, verification will be granted by the Volunteer Manager.
Once your registration has been received, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Further instructions specific to the position will be sent later a month before the race date.

Volunteer Position Descriptions
Course Marshals Sunday May 4, 6:00 am - 1:30 pm
Ensure the safety of the participants.
Direct runners along the route.
Cheer on and encourage participants as they pass by – “Great pace! Keep going!”
Inform any non-authorized vehicles that roads are closed for the event (by authority of the Town and Police).
Minimize interference with the race from traffic/pedestrians
Return to event site and assist with tear down and clean up.
Post-Race Food Distribution Sunday May 4, 6:00 am - 1:30 pm
Feeding hungry post-race runners! Help to set up the types of food and efficiently distribute them to finishers as they come through gradually.
Make sure everything is restocked and loaded.
Cleaning up
Assist with tear down and clean up of event site.
Medals Sunday May 4, 6:00 am - 1:30 pm
Distribute medals to participants after their run.
Set up, organize, and distribute the medals in an efficient manner.
Have a pleasant customer service demeanour and be congratulatory and friendly.
Assist with tear-down and clean-up.
Aid Station - Course Sunday May 4, 6:00 am - 1:30 pm
Setting up the water station before the race.
Handing out water to runners on the course to keep them hydrated.
Encouraging runners and cheering them on.
Cleaning up the station afterwards
Aid Station - Start/Finish Line Sunday May 4, 6:00 am - 1:30 pm
Handing out water to runners before and after their race.
Encouraging runners and cheering them on.

Aid Station Captains - Course Sunday May 4, 6:00 am - 1:30 pm
- Individuals with confidence to lead the team of volunteers on the smooth operation of the Aid Station
- Supported by the Aid Station Manager on staff who will circulate from station to station.
Environment Crew Sunday May 4, 6:00 am-1:30 pm
One of the most important jobs.
Maintain a clean and pleasant environment at the Event Party Site.
Distribute refuse containers according to recycling guidelines.
Promoting a memorable event experience for participants by maintain a pleasant and healthy environment.
Pre-Race Kit Pick-up See below for various Location and Times
Set up, organize, and distribute materials to participants in an efficient manner before race day.
Distribute to participants their number bib, race shirt and other relevant materials before the race.
Have a pleasant customer service demeanor. Be encouraging and friendly

Pre-race Packet Pick-up: Saturday May 3 Race expo at Briars Resort and Spa in Georgina 11:00 - 6:00 pm
