My Story…
Please support The Capital Kiwi Project! They have 4600 traps across 23000 hectares of land and aim to introduce wild kiwi to the Wellington area.
If I reach my fundraising target of $1000, I will run the Faultline 100 miler (160km) race dressed as a kiwi.
Description
The Capital Kiwi Project is a partnership between community, iwi, and landowners committed to looking after the animal that we take our name from. it is delivering kiwi conservation at unprecedented scale and pace. After five years of hard work, kiwi are calling from the wild of Wellington's west for the first time in 150 years.
We're stoked that Faultline Ultra racers will be sharing the trails with our taonga and national icon.
Kiwi are tough, adaptable and fast over the ground; qualities that runners and riders will need to draw on in traversing the ridges of Te Upoko o te Ika a Maui.
Thanks for the support. Go Kiwi!
