My Story…
Hi, I’m Mikhiala, and thanks for visiting my Toronto 42k Marathon donation page, dedicated to raising money for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
If you know me personally, or even if you don’t, you may be wondering why I decided to run a full marathon and why I want your support to do it.
On May 4, 2023, I made the decision to quit drinking. It was a difficult choice, but one that was necessary for my mental health and that changed me for the better. My decision to quit was about taking control of my life, choosing to heal, grow, and become a better me, not just for myself, but for the people I love.
On May 4, 2025, I’m running the Toronto Marathon to celebrate two years sober and to raise money to support others who struggle with addiction and mental health, just as I once did.
To me, this race is not just a physical challenge, but a testament to personal growth. It’s a reminder that change is possible, that healing takes persistence, and that anyone can do it with the right support.
By supporting my run, every dollar you contribute will go directly to the Canadian Mental Health Association, helping fund resources and programs that make recovery and mental well-being more accessible for everyone who needs it.
Thank you for being part of my journey, and for helping someone else on theirs.
