I am racing for research
Less than two months ago, I lost my grandmother. She passed away unexpectedly due to complications from a stroke, and it has been incredibly difficult for me and my family. What made it even more heartbreaking was the reality of the limited medical resources available to her in the rural area where she lived. She deserved better care, and it was painful to see her struggle without the treatment she needed. My grandmother was my biggest cheerleader. Last year, she was incredibly proud when I ran my first half-marathon. In her memory, I’m running again this year—not just for her, but to raise money for the hospital’s highest priority needs. This race is for her, and for everyone who has ever felt their loved one didn’t receive the medical attention they deserved.
Description
This year, I am racing to support the ground breaking research that takes place at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI), part of Sinai Health.
Funds raised will help fuel world-leading research to help push the boundaries of science and advance our collective understanding of human biology in health and disease. I hope you'll support my run or join me by registering yourself!
