Help us help Lifeline save lives
Description
Every day, nine Australians lose their battle with mental health – help us help Lifeline.
In recent years, challenges like COVID, natural disasters, and financial pressures have deeply affected the lives of many. More people than ever are struggling with mental health and anxiety, and reaching out to Lifeline’s frontline services and the national 13 11 14 crisis line for support.
This year, our team is taking part in VIC100—a 100km cycling event with over 2,200 metres of climbing, crossing the Blue Mountains via Bells Line of Road. Unlike many other cycling events, VIC100 was founded on lived experience. Its creator began this ride after his own mental health journey, with a desire to help others and raise critical funds for Lifeline.
As participants, we’ll be raising funds for three Lifeline centres:
• Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney
• Lifeline Macarthur Western Sydney
• Lifeline Central West
Your support won’t just help staff the 13 11 14 crisis line, but will also fund essential, on-the-ground mental health services in the very regions where this ride takes place—and beyond.
One of the beneficiaries, Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney, is one of the few Lifeline centres that answers calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week—including during the late hours when people facing depression and anxiety are often at their most vulnerable.
At Go for Broke, every dollar we raise goes directly to Lifeline to help save lives.
Please consider supporting us as we train for this challenging but meaningful ride. Help us help Lifeline.
Every dollar makes a difference. Every dollar can save a life.
Thank you.
