My Story…
Hi - I'm Sam! 🐾
I'm the Communications & Marketing Coordinator at Bide Awhile, a place where I get to combine my love of animals with my background in professional photography and the non-profit industry. Working in animal rescue has given me an opportunity to see many animals through their journey to their new forever homes.
This year, I'm running the 5k & 10k to help raise funds for the hundreds of animals who need our care, compassion, and patience. I'm fundraising not only because I work at Bide Awhile, but also on behalf of my own rescue cat, Adelaide.
Adelaide came from a rescue in New Brunswick after she was abandoned in a cardboard box. She was placed into the rescue's care and moved to a local cat cafe in hopes of finding her a home. Unfortunately, she was not a fan of this idea and spent her days hiding in the shoe rack - which is where we found her.
Since bringing her home in 2021, her personality has blossomed and she has truly become the most affectionate cat we've ever met. Taking the chance on a scared and quiet cat was the best decision we've made.
