My Story…
In 1988 I was hired for a temporary position at Bonny Lea Farm. At the time, I never dreamt that it would be the start of a thirty-seven-year career or that I would meet my husband when he came to install a telephone in one of the homes. During this time I have supported people with differing abilities in achieving their goals and dreams and in grieving their loss of a family member or pet. Every day I am reminded of what true acceptance and resilience is when I see participants supporting each other with these same things. Visitors who come to Bonny Lea Farm are greeted with warmth and interest and also leave with a smile on their face. I feel so fortunate to be a part of an organization that continually adapts to best meet the needs of the participants they serve. Which is why I am proud to be running the 5km and 10km races as part of Team Myles in the Blue Nose Marathon and supporting Bonny Lea Farm.
