For a while, I used to know the folks in my neighborhood who you’d see collecting bottles or generally facing tough times. But lately times got super tough for a lot more people. Volunteering with the Brunswick Street Mission has helped me get to know these folks and support them. The work this organization does is not only filling a huge gap in our social support system, but also providing dignified experiences to those needing food or other services.
