Hamilton Air Quality Update

As you know, forest fires have resulted in air quality issues across the province. The Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women has been closely monitoring the Environment Canada Air Quality Index and weather forecast.

Currently, the forecasted air quality is at an acceptable participation level and the event is planned as scheduled today.

To help you manage your race experience to minimize health risks, you can get the latest air quality health index by visiting the Government of Canada Air Quality website for updates.

It is the individual’s responsibility to choose to participate or choose a distance that reflects their abilities and health factors. Those who believe that the air quality carries too great a health risk may choose a shorter distance at no charge. This can be done in-person at race kit pick up or by emailing info@runforwomen.ca.
