My Story…
Meet Dan
Dan didn’t sign up for this race — but now he’s running it anyway. When Forrest couldn’t make it because of a schedule change, Dan stepped in. Call it generosity, call it questionable decision-making… either way, he’s lacing up and doing the miles.
Meet Forrest
Forrest is the guy who was supposed to run. He signed up, made big plans, then realized he couldn’t be there. Instead of letting the bib go to waste, he roped in his friend Dan. Now Forrest is on cheer squad and fundraising duty while Dan does the sweating.
The Real Reason We’re Here
The funds we raise will go directly towards training and development for our staff which will support our team in delivering safe, equitable, and high-quality experiences for all of our participants. Dan runs, Forrest cheers, and together we’re moving toward the same mission: building confidence, community, and belonging in the outdoors.
Why We Run
We’re running (okay, Dan is running) to advance equity in the outdoors. Team Y Adventure is committed to creating spaces of belonging where everyone feels welcome in nature. Your support helps provide life-changing outdoor experiences, train staff in inclusive practices, and expand access for people who historically have faced barriers to outdoor recreation. Every step Dan takes helps us take another step toward a more inclusive outdoor community.
Donate to help Forrest raise money for 2025 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend’s fundraising campaign.
