My Story…
Hello everyone!
Welcome to my fundraising page! I'm 24 years old and live in the twin cities area. I am currently a Sergeant in the Minnesota Army National Guard and proudly work as the senior line medic for Charlie Company 2-135 Infantry. On the civilian side I work as an Emergency Department Nurse. I plan to continue my service to my country and to my community for MANY years to come!
SO... Why team USO for my first marathon?! I was deployed from 2021-2022 where I served primarily in Kuwait, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. I also provided medical aid during the pull out of Afghanistan. During that time frame, I attended many USO events overseas when I needed a morale boost or when I was just feeling homesick. It is no secret that suicide rates amongst our armed forces population is high. In fact, those who serve in the military are 57% more likely to commit suicide than the general population. I want to ask you to join me in the fight to combat that. Running for team USO to me, means running to boost morale for our men and women serving overseas. Your donations will be used to keep our American soldiers motivated until they are able to return home safely. The proceeds will also go towards supporting their family members while their loved ones are overseas.
My 26.2 miles is not only intended to raise money for team USO, but to commemorate fallen veterans who were lost on both physical and mental battlefields. Please join me in this fight, we can make a difference, we're in this together!
Donate to help Taylor raise money for 2025 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend’s fundraising campaign.
