My Story…
As a chiropractor, I work with patients facing all kinds of pain and challenges, but nothing prepares you for the heartbreak of a diagnosis like ALS.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Over time, it robs a person of their ability to walk, speak, swallow, and eventually breathe. There is no cure. Most are given just a few short years.
I remember my patient before ALS—full of life, energy, and optimism. Hearing updates from her family now is gut-wrenching. Watching this disease take its toll is a pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
We need to fight for a future without ALS. For the patients. For the families. For those who don’t know yet that it’s coming.
Let’s come together—raise awareness, support research, and be part of the change. No one should have to endure what my patient and her family are facing.
