Help Beth raise money

I’m a second-year resident at the United Family Medicine Residency Program in St. Paul, MN, and I’ll be running the 2025 Twin Cities Marathon in support of Face to Face! Since 1972, Face to Face has been a vital resource for marginalized youth, providing crisis counseling, reproductive health care, and other essential services for individuals ages 11–24.

As part of our OB training, residents provide prenatal and postpartum care at Face to Face. This has been one of the most meaningful parts of my residency so far. One of the first patients I met there saw me for several prenatal visits, and I had the honor of being her primary delivering resident — I was called in when she went into labor and was able to be there for her delivery. I’ve continued to see both her and her baby in clinic for follow-up care. It’s a powerful example of the continuity and trust our program builds in partnership with this incredible organization.

Unfortunately, due to recent funding cuts and a challenging sociopolitical climate, Face to Face has lost key support for its prenatal care program. Their OB grant was not renewed, creating uncertainty for a program that serves youth who already face major barriers to care.
