My Story…
Hello! My name is Lily Futrell, and I am a Staff Sergeant in the Minnesota Army National Guard. I just returned home from deployment to the Middle East with the 204th Medical Company Area Support, where we provided emergency and routine medical services to military personnel, contractors, and civilians on base.
On October 5th, 2025, I will be joining Team USO on a 10-mile run to honor the United Service Organizations mission to connect and support service members and their families. During my time overseas, the USO went above and beyond to ensure we continued to feel a sense of community and distraction from the hard days. They hosted multiple events for us to stay engaged including making Tie Dye T-shits, bingo, trivia, painting, karaoke, poker tournaments, video gaming, reading programs, holiday parties, 5K run/walks, meet and greet events, and so much more.
I am excited for this fundraising opportunity with a goal to raise $1,000 to show my appreciation for the USO and help ensure that others serving around the world feel as supported as I did. Thank you so much for being part of this with me. Your support truly makes a difference!
I have added some photos from my deployment to highlight a few of the many opportunities the USO provided for us!
