Title Sponsor
Our title sponsor, Meyer Brothers and Sons, is a family-owned residential design and construction business. We had the pleasure of speaking with Rick Meyer, Architect and Business Manager, to learn more about the company and why they support the Cincinnati Aruna Run.
Tell us a little about your company! Since 1978, our family has been helping other Cincinnati families bring to fruition any residential project in a creative, organized and efficient manner while maintaining the highest quality possible by our talented team of architects, designers, project managers and craftsmen. We treat your home as a sacred space and members of your family like our own. We specialize in architectural designed, character specific additions and whole home remodels that often feature our custom cabinetry line.
What inspired you to sponsor the Cincinnati Aruna Run? We are sponsoring the race because we love, appreciate and want to support the noble work Aruna is doing to bring freedom to young women in slavery. We recognize that sexual slavery is alive and thriving and we want to help take a stand with the vulnerable in our world and take part in providing freedom for the captives and setting the oppressed free.
How can our participants learn more about your company?

Runner Testimonials
FAQs
Are walkers welcome?
Of course! Whether walking or running, we are all out there for the same goal -- to raise funds to help bring freedom to the sexually enslaved.
Are dogs welcome?
As much as we love our furry, four-legged friends, they are not allowed to participate in the race. However, they are welcome to cheer on the sidelines along the course.
Can I push a stroller?
Yes! You are welcome to push a stroller in the race. We just ask that you start towards the back to ensure the safety of all participants. A child being pushed in a stroller does not need to be registered for the race.
Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?
For the 10K race, participants must be at least 12 years old to participate. The 5K and 1-Mile races are open to all ages.
Can you share the stories of the women we are running for?
We are often asked if we can provide more information about the women we run for at the race. As the women we run for are still enslaved in the brothel system, we do not share personal details of their stories in order to respect their privacy and ensure their safety. The stories we do share are of human trafficking survivors employed in our Freedom Business who grant us permission to do so.
How is the money raised from the run used?
The Aruna Run series is the catalyst of the freedom process with a majority of the money raised funding our Training Centers in Southeast Asia. It is here that trafficked women come to receive a hot meal, counseling, and skill and trade development to prepare them to step into our Freedom Business.
