Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria Capital Region (BBBSV) empowers young people facing adversity by fostering life-changing mentoring relationships that ignite potential, build confidence, and promote resilience. BBBSV aligns with the vision and mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada. Serving the Victoria Capital Region, Salt Spring Island, and the Comox Valley, we provide consistent, research-based mentorship programs that create a lasting impact. Our vision is that all young people realize their full potential, and our mission is to ensure that those who need support the most have access to trusted, caring mentors who help them navigate challenges, develop critical life skills, and thrive. With over 48 years of experience, we remain dedicated to creating a community where every young person has the guidance, encouragement, and opportunities they deserve to succeed.

While Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) is a nationally recognized name, many are surprised to learn that each chapter, including ours, operates independently and relies entirely on local funding to serve its community. National provides essential training and standards, but without direct support from local donors and funders, we cannot sustain the vital mentorship programs that transform young lives here in Greater Victoria. We are at a tipping point—without increased support, these life-changing services are at risk of disappearing entirely, leaving the most vulnerable youth in our community without the guidance they need to thrive.
