My Story…
For the past century, Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island has been there to support the health care journeys of Island families. We do that by reducing barriers to accessing health care – both in terms of cost and distance.
As a current board member I’ve seen first hand the difference CHFVI makes for children on the island and am excited to continue my support by joining their fundraising efforts as a runner in the Victoria Marathon this October.
Please consider making a donation and your support will assist island kids in one of the following ways…
Our Homes Away From Home, Jeneece Place in Victoria and Q̓ʷalayu House in Campbell River, are welcoming, comfortable, affordable places for families to stay next to the hospital while their child receives care.
Our Bear Essentials program provides direct support to families to cover costs of their child’s health care needs, from specialized equipment to health-related travel. As a 100% donor-funded organization, we rely on our community of supporters who make a difference in the lives of Island kids every day.
