Raise money for Tumour Foundation of BC
The Tumour Foundation of BC improves the lives of individuals affected by neurofibromatosis (NF) through medical care, education and support programs.
NF is a genetic condition which causes tumours to grow on nerves throughout the body. These tumours are often inoperable and can cause complications such as disfigurement, bone deformities, vision impairment, learning disabilities, cancer and serious mental health conditions.
In 2021 the Foundation launched a virtual medical clinic project to provide, for the first time in British Columbia, specialized care to the adult community.
Imagine your doctor looking to you for answers on how to help you.
That's been the reality for thousands of families affected by NF. Your donation will help the Foundation to continue providing expert medical care that no one living with a complex disorder should be without.
Please get involved by joining our team to run/walk/stroll or make a donation.
We are grateful for your support.
This year our goal at the Charity Challenge is to raise vital revenue to support our initiative of establishing BC's first medical clinic for patients with neurofibromatosis.
With no medical experts or specialized clinic in the province where families can go to receive care, parents are forced to become the experts in managing their own child's care.
Can you imagine your doctor looking to you for answers and direction on how to treat your illness?
That’s what families experience every day after receiving an NF diagnosis. Our goal is open the virtual NF clinic this July but we require additional funding.
With your donation you will be making a significant impact to improve the lives and health and well-being for all British Columbians affected by NF. Please consider giving today.
