I have decided to participate in a 5k Charity Run on June 22, 2025 to support patients and families affected by a rare genetic disorder. All proceeds will support the Tumour Foundation of BC who has been supporting individuals and families affected with neurofibromatosis since 1984. 

Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a genetic condition affecting approximately 1 in 2500 individuals worldwide. NF causes tumours to grow on nerves anywhere in the body and can lead to serious challenges, including chronic pain, hearing loss, vision impairment, learning disabilities, and even cancer. 

Despite its prevalence, NF remains under-diagnosed and under-recognized. While there’s no cure yet, campaigns like this help raise awareness and support for those living with the condition.

My good friend and coworker has been a dedicated board member of this charity and has a special place in my heart ❤️           I want to show my support and contribute to a good cause 🥰
