My Story…
Our daughter Bianca is a wonderful, lively and hilarious 5 year old. She was diagnosed with NF, or neurofibromatosis, when she was just weeks old. Before that day we had never even heard of this condition, despite it being one of the most common genetic disorders worldwide. People with NF develop tumors on nerve endings anywhere on their body and at any point in their lives, these tumors can be disfiguring and cause chronic pain, along with numerous health complications. This lack of awareness means there is very little funding and R&D for NF, leaving people with this condition and their families struggling to get the help they need.
I want Bianca to grow up in a society where people know about NF, where individuals with NF get the support, medication and information they need to thrive.
I’m running to raise awareness and money for the Tumour Foundation of BC, an organisation that works tirelessly to support people living with NF and their families. I would love your support!
