Support Megaphone through the Vancouver Marathon race!
Megaphone exists to amplify marginalized voices and create meaningful work for those experiencing poverty in Vancouver, BC. Megaphone (est. 2007) is committed to reshaping societal perceptions of poverty and creating opportunities for those with barriers to the larger community to participate in self-determined creative self-expression and meaningful work.
Megaphone's Vendor Program addresses the lack of accessible income earning opportunities for people with barriers to traditional employment. We do this by producing literary and journalistic publications and training 150+ people experiencing poverty in Vancouver to sell those products for an income.
Supporting Megaphone by participating in and donating to our 5K charity race brings together community and helps to change the story on poverty through direct action!
