My Story…
Hi, I’m Brittany — born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. Though I moved away at 18, it will always be home. This year, to celebrate turning 40, I’ve set a goal to run a half marathon and raise $2,000 for two organizations that shaped my life: the Regina Hospitals Foundation and the YMCA of Regina. As a baby, I was diagnosed with juvenile polyposis, a rare condition that required regular care at Regina General and Pasqua Hospital. I had over 50 procedures, starting at just a few years old. I was often the youngest in the GI unit, and yet the nurses, doctors, and especially my gastroenterologist Dr. Lewis, always treated me with care and compassion. They supported me and my family through every step. Running for the Regina Hospitals Foundation is my way of giving back to those who helped build my strength and resilience. Thank you for your support — this race is a celebration of where I come from, who I’ve become, and the people who helped me get here.
