Hello Families and Friends!
The tradition continues! This year marks my ninth consecutive year running for UrbanPromise Toronto, and it's an extra special one because my son, Caleb, is joining me for the 5k challenge!
On Saturday, October 18th, Caleb and I will be running the 5k, and the very next day, Sunday, October 19th, I'll be taking on the full marathon. That's a total of 47.2 km in one weekend! We've been training together and are hoping to beat our personal bests.
UrbanPromise Toronto is a Christian organization committed to reaching children in Toronto Community Housing with the love of Jesus and raising them into leaders, who restore their community.
I've always believed in living out my faith through my actions, and I hope Caleb will continue to join me on this journey every year.
Our goal this year is to raise $5,000. Your support will directly help create opportunities for these young leaders to run summer camps and after-school programs, and to help restore the communities they grew up in. I'm counting on your help to reach our goal!
