My Story…
I had registered to run this Toronto marathon on Oct 2023. Then came the cancer diagnosis, surgeries, recovery and healing. So I had to cancel this run. I am cancer-free now (checkups every 3 months) living life to its fullest!
This Sunday, Oct 19, 2025 - two years later, I am running this same race. Half marathon. Climbing this mountain one step at a time.
Wellspring helped me tremendously through the healing so I am fundraising for them! THANK-YOU to Wellspring, my supporters, and you for getting me here.
UPDATE: I ran my personal best at 2:33! The last 5K I ran so fast remembering all the faces, conversations, the diagnosis moment, surgery and I said "I beat this thing!" And my cancer-related fatigue is almost gone in that I didn't have to nap after this run! It only took 2 years.
