I’m running the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon to raise funds for Jamii. Support me in helping change lives!

This October, I’m running the 5K at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon to raise funds for a project that means a lot to me—and to Jamii an organization I founded in 2011 and in which I pour my heart and passion.

Since 2018, I have been visiting Pikangikum First Nation. Pikangikum is a community in Northern Ontario. Jamii has always been about nurturing belonging, building relationships, and creating space for voices that deserve to be heard. We are traveling back to PIkangikum in October this year as well as in 2026 and I would like to fundraise to support the production aspect of our project - a series of video portraits of local artists, Elders and community leaders. Each year we travel, we add a few more of these videos, which you can find here: https://www.jamii.ca/pikangikum-video-portraits

This is one way to support Indigenous communities and take one step towards reconciliaction. Help me sharing these stories, I can’t do it alone. If you believe in the power of the arts to bridge communities, amplify voices, and plant seeds of hope and healing, I invite you to support me. Walk with me, donate, or simply help spread the word.

I’m hoping to raise $1,500 (or more!) through this 5K run—every dollar goes directly to making this project possible.

With gratitude,
Isorine

Description

I am participating in the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon to raise funds to support Jamii's effort to change lives! From empowering girls to become leaders, to reducing isolation among older adults, Jamii creates spaces where community members of all ages feel seen, heard, and connected through the arts. We foster belonging, ignite creativity, and build lasting bonds across generations.

Every dollar you donate to my fundraising effort will support Jamii's outdoor events, indoor activities, Belonging Older Adults workshops, LAINI Youth programs. Your contribution will directly enable a community member to attend these programs for free and bring joy to someone's life in The Esplanade community and beyond. I truly appreciate any support you can offer.

Thank you for helping to fuel our arts and community spirit
