Honored to be fundraising for Courage In Action again this year.  This organization helps women leaving difficult life circumstances, like domestic violence, reclaim their lives.  Leaving tough situations is almost impossibly hard, and getting back on your feet, rebuilding your life one brick at a time can feel hopeless.  Through connection, sisterhood, education bursaries, support, training, workshops and conferences, Courage In Action outstretches a hand to those of us in our loneliest moments.  I've served the last three years as Chair of the Board for this organization and been so meaningful. The bittersweetness of creating something beautiful for women who need and deserve it, the sense of community created amongst those of us who've been through dark times, and the realization that there are so many of us out there from all walks of life.
