My Story…
Earlier this year, I lost my mom to cancer — a loss that brought with it many emotional challenges and a deep need to find ways to heal. I was never much of a runner, but running has become a source of strength and clarity. It gives me the time and space to cope, clear my mind, and maintain a healthier lifestyle, both physically and mentally.
Saying “yes” to running a marathon wasn’t easy. But I knew it would make my mom proud.
I'm not running just to cross the finish line. I'm running in honour of my mom, for those currently battling illness, for those we've lost, and for the families who continue to fight. I’m also running to raise awareness and give back to the healthcare system — especially the Canadian Cancer Society — which supports individuals and families in their most difficult moments.
If you're able, I kindly ask for your support through a donation to my fundraising page, particularly to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, a charity my mom donated to annually. Your contribution means the world — not only to me, but to all those I’ll be running for.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
