This October, I'm lacing up my running shoes for the TCS Toronto Marathon 5K - not just to cross a finish line, but to support the incredible school that has transformed my son's world.
My son has autism, and finding the right educational environment felt like searching for a needle in a haystack. Then we discovered the Lighthouse, and everything changed. This isn't just a school - it's a community where my son is truly understood, celebrated, and given every opportunity to thrive. The dedicated teachers and staff don't just see his challenges; they see his unique gifts and potential.
Every day, I watch my son grow in confidence, develop new skills, and experience the joy of learning in an environment tailored to his needs. The school has become our extended family, supporting not just my son, but our entire family through this journey.
Now I want to give back to this magical place that gives so much to our children.

The Lighthouse is dedicated to supporting children and adults with autism by raising funds to enhance services, increase accessibility, and ease financial burdens on families. Through the generosity of our fundraisers and supporters, we strive to keep costs low while expanding programs that make a meaningful difference. Our mission also includes raising autism awareness within our community, fostering inclusion and understanding. Together, we can shine a light on autism and build a brighter, more supportive future for all. Our Casino Night (10th anniversary) will feature TONS of incredible prizes and a fun, VEGAS themed night!! Bringing Vegas to Aurora!
