My Story…
I'm dusting off my running shoes (okay, they aren't really that dusty) and will be running on October 18 to raise funds for Annex Cat Rescue, a charity that helps rescue and aid thousands of street cats every year!
ACR's cares for cats and kittens in a number of ways including daily feeding and colony management, medical, dental care, socializing, fostering, adopting or, in the case of feral cats, spay/neutering. ACR is 100% volunteer run and this is the biggest fund-raiser of the year.
ACR helped has helped so many street cats who would have otherwise suffered and died on the streets. Cats like my little Lily. I took Lily off the street when I found her with a prolapsed rectum (her colon hanging out of her back end) in pain and bloody. Despite the unimaginable pain she was in, she was being a good Mom nursing two young kittens. I kept all of them them at my home as fosters but ACR stepped in and made sure they were seen by a vet, given their shots and that Lily had the surgeries needed to repair her colon. It was a long, difficult recovery of almost a year but she came through and has been adopted into a loving home. Her two babies were adopted as well. Cats like Lily would not have a fighting chance without ACR and its dedication to helping street cats.
Any support you can offer will be greatly appreciated and will directly help cats and kittens in dire need.
Thank you for supporting my efforts to raise money for an amazing organization.
