On October 18th, I’ll be running (Lol, yes, you read correctly) the TCS 5K as part of Team Newman to raise funds for a place that’s very close to my heart — the Newman Centre Catholic Mission at the University of Toronto’s St. George Campus.
As the Operations Manager, I see every day how this beautiful, historic building supports our ministry. Built in 1890, the Newman Centre is not only an architectural gem — it’s the heart of our mission. It’s where students come to pray, study, reflect, share meals, build friendships, and grow in faith.
We are incredibly blessed to have this space on campus in the heart of downtown T.O, but like any building that’s over 130 years old, it needs constant care and attention. That’s why every dollar raised through my run will go directly to our Building and Maintenance Fund — ensuring the Newman Centre remains a safe, welcoming, and functional home for our community.
Your support will help us preserve this sacred space and allow our mission to continue thriving for generations of students to come.
